Marzuq Shrine Center

The Hammond Design Group was responsible for the preparation of construction documents for the Marzuq Shrine Sculpture Plaza.  This plaza was designed to take advantage of the prominent corner of North Monroe Street and Tharpe Street intersections.  The intent was to accentuate the statue of the ‘Silent Messenger’ and icon of the Shriners.  The project consisted of program elements such as, plaza space, lighting, flagpoles and a handicap accessible walkway.  The project was constructed entirely with donated professional efforts and construction materials.  The plaza and sculpture currently stands to reflect the Marzuq Temples primary mission of helping disabled children and their families.
